Bo will be interning at the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. The position is under the OAS’ Department of Sustainable Democracy and Special Missions, where he’ll be working with staff who are focused on mediating the Guatemala/Belize border dispute.

Mac Gagne | CSIS and Duke Lemur Center

Mac will be interning with the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC as well as conducting independent research on defense strategies at the Duke Lemur Center.

Ryan Geitner | Institute of World Politics

Ryan will be interning at the Institute of World Politics in Washington, DC, researching Diplomacy with former Ambassador, Phillip Hughes. She will also aid in the planning and implementation of IWP's public lecture series, write pieces for IWP's website, and assist in IWP's library.

Max Labaton

Max Labaton | U.S. Embassy, Peru

Max will be interning at the State Department working in the political section at the US Embassy in Lima, Peru. This section focuses on issues related to counter-narcotics trafficking, human rights, anti-corruption, and mitigates the effects of the humanitarian crisis caused by the situation in Venezuela.

Merle will be interning at the Office of eDiplomacy in Washington, DC this summer. He will be working alongside diplomats to identify and solve problems vital to national interest in various geopolitical contexts.

Victoria Sorhegui | Senator Richard Burr's Office 

Victoria will be interning at Senator Richard Burr's office in Washington, DC. She will be conducting tours of the US Capitol, participating in legislative research, answering phone calls from constituents, and playing a role in Senator Burr's correspondence system.
