Applications are now open for current, first-year masters students interested in joining AGS Council.
AGS Council is a select cohort of Duke students committed to deepening their understanding of foreign policy and contributing to a vibrant community of young leaders with a passion for national security. Council members attend speaker series events, discussions, social events, and other programming offered by the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy. When called upon, Council members assist the program by sharing information and helping reach new groups of students, creating a space for everyone to learn, engage, and collaborate. The Council is meant to provide an immersive experience to students engaged in foreign policy and AGS Council requires member attendance at events in order to ensure that development.
To apply, please complete this application form no later than Friday, November 14 at 11:59pm.
Questions? Contact AGS Co-Chairs Abigail Bergan, Zachary Patterson, and Elliot Strauch.
The next application round for undergraduates will open in spring 2026. Stay tuned for details.
