“AGS has deeply enriched my Duke experience by bringing incredible people into my life. Not only do you get face-to-face access to the most prominent strategic thinkers and policymakers in the country, but you will join a community of your peers and professors at Duke that share a passion for all things American grand strategy. Staff rides and field trips also provide unique experiences to learn and connect with alumni who often join us for staff rides.”

"AGS has been a highlight of my time at Duke. As I reflect on my experience, I'm still processing how enriching and transformational my time in the program has been. I would never have conceived of the opportunity to have dinner with General Mark Milley, test out Special Forces weapons systems at Ft. Bragg, learn in a seminar from General Dempsey, attend a staff rides to Gettysburg, among other wonderful moments."

“AGS has proven to be an intellectual and social highlight of my college experience. From debating tactical warfare in Gettysburg to analyzing U.S. foreign policy in the run-up to Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, the opportunity to immerse myself in the study of American Grand Strategy alongside incredible professors, alumni, and students from all corners of Duke is something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life."
